ACR Nauticast B

The complete solution to fitting a Class B AIS transponder on a small vessel. Comes including its own GPS receiver and AIS antenna. Provides an additional level of safety in both crowded waterways and long shorthanded offshore passages. Gives a ship the opportunity to identify you as a sailboat more than 20 miles away by day or night. Reduces the chances of having a near miss or worse. The remote SRM button can be used to automatically transmit a pre-programmed safety related message along with your position. The unit can be switched to a receive only mode for situations where you do not wish to transmit your position.
Outputs 38,400 baud AIS data to any AIS enabled chart plotter or laptop running AIS capable plotting software. Also capable of standalone operation for tracking dumb barges or towed tenders. ACR AIS products undergo stringent quality testing and with thousands of AIS transponders on the market, the Nauticast brand is a tried and tested system which has already gained substantial market penetration in this young market.
Notes: if your vessel does not already have an MMSI number, you must obtain one from the authorities in your flag country. The MMSI number must be entered before the unit will transmit.
Computer interface requires serial port or serial/USB converter.
