Icom IC-4088 A15

These are UHF radios operating in the licence-free FRS allocation. Extremely useful for general communication with shore party etc. Ideal for onboard communication between crew members on larger yachts. Especially useful during anchoring or docking maneuvers.They have 14 channels with 38 coded tone squelch settings, so that the radio only responds to calls for you. The Call-ring function sends a ring tone like a cell phone. Water resistant to JIS-4. Up to 3 km range, must be used in pairs, cannot communicate with regular marine VHF.

Note: Requires 3 AA batteries per radio. Either alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeable.
