Accumulator tanks smooth faucet and shower flows by eliminating pulsations and “water hammer”. They prevent rapid on\off pump cycling thereby increasing pump life.The tank should be installed as close as possible to the pressure switch and more than one may be used.The pre-pressurized tanks may be fine tuned to the cut-in pressure of the pump.
