Harken Battcars

Harken Battcar systems are the first choice of sailors, from cruisers to single handed around the world racers. These lightweight low friction headboards and receptacles allow up/down, side-to-side movement as well as handling pulling, pushing and twisting loads. Choose one of their three systems based on your sail area.
System A
Battcars are designed for boats from 27’ to 48’ (8 to 15 m).
System B
System B Battcars are designed for monohulls with mainsails of less than 675 ft² (63 m²) or multihulls with less than 550 ft² (51 m²).
System C
The batten travelers are designed for monohulls with mainsails of less than 1400 ft² (130 m²) or multihulls with less than 1200 ft² (111 m²). Custom or modified systems are available for larger boats. Budget Marine can special order System C parts for you.
